Convention

UPSE’s Annual Convention is an important event as it allows the membership to chart the course for the Union each year.  The voting delegates (UPSE members) who participate in Convention are the ultimate decision making body of UPSE.  Your Local elects delegates to the Convention.  Over one hundred delegates, representing all UPSE Locals, discuss, debate and vote on resolutions which help set out the Union’s priorities and strategies for the year ahead.  The Annual Convention is always an exciting event, and every UPSE member has a chance to take part.  Delegates also vote for (and can seek nomination for) UPSE Executive positions. Elections for 2-year terms are held in alternating years.  The Secretary-Treasurer and Second Vice President in year 1 and the First Vice President and Third Vice President in year 2.
