December 10 (Human Rights Day) marks the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948 by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The Declaration guarantees fundamental rights to every individual, including the right to equality, life, liberty, and security of the person. It also acknowledges the right to freedom of religion and speech and the right to participate in the cultural life of the community.

As a union, we recognize the significance of these rights in building a just and equitable society both within and outside the workplace.
